As I sat, watched and listened to students comment about the book, I realized what makes this book so outstanding. In my opinion, Stephanie Stuve-Bodeen achieved what many authors attempt but rarely accomplish so creatively. Elizabeti’s School allows the young reader to embrace cultural, racial and linguistic differences by appealing to the universal emotions we all share… Elizabeti’s School is a proactive book that I hope will become one of many tools to facilitate the early development of cross cultural empathy.
