PERFORMANCE READING or READER THEATER is an activity that helps build fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension in a creative environment that students will thrive in. We are proud to present an example of performance reading using LEE & LOW's Strong to the Hoop. Educator Christine Boardman Moen's lively adaptation of John Coy's award-winning title is a winner. Christine Boardman Moen, a self-proclaimed "reading warrior," is a middle school language arts teacher and adjunct Professor of children's and young adult literature at Rockford College.
