A NIGHT OF WORDS

On April 18, 2001 Lee & Low Books hosted a night of poetry at Teachers & Writers Collaborative in New York City. The evening celebrated the release of the books Love to Mamá, Deshawn Days and LEE & LOW’s continuing commitment to poetry for children. The intimate evening was attended by many of the creators of the two books, the staff of LEE & LOW and their esteemed guests.

We would like to thank the poets, illustrators, designers who contributed to the making of these two wonderful books, as well as all who attended. We would also like to express our deepest appreciation to the Teachers & Writers Collaborative for allowing us to host this celebration of poetry.
