An interview with G. Neri, Author of Yummy on The Story from American Public Media In 1994, eleven-year-old Robert "Yummy" Sandifer shot and killed a girl in Chicago, before he was, in turn, shot and killed by his own gang. In this radio interview, author G. Neri talks about Yummy's story, working with inner-city youth, and how he came to write the graphic novel Yummy. Posted December 2010. The Story is a radio show hosted by Dick Gordon, that seeks out ordinary people whose lives are intersecting with significant issues in the news and gives them the opportunity to tell their story.
