Elizabeti's Doll

Review
By Preschool Picks

When her mother has a new baby to care for, Elizabeti decides to give a doll the same attention; however, in the small village in Tanzania where she lives, dolls are unavailable. Elizabeti finds a large, doll-sized rock which she names Eva—and she mirrors her mother’s careful attention to baby brother Obedi. Children in our land of plenty will sympanthize with Elizabeti when Eva disappears. The lovely illustrations give wonderful opportunities for questions about alike and different.
