Skype Virtual Author and Illustrator Visits Program

Virtual visits are a great way for you to expose your students to the minds behind the books without breaking your budget! Because visits take place via the internet, an author or illustrator can visit your school without leaving his or her home.

Interested? Here's What to Do

  1. Verify that your school or library is set up to use Skype. If you’re not sure, check our What is Skype? page for more information and advice.
  2. Search books at—or look at your classroom collection of LEE & LOW titles—and come up with a short list of authors you would be interested in having visit.
  3. Contact Hannah Ehrlich by email at skype AT or phone at 1-888-320-3190 x. 29 to find out which of your preferred authors and illustrators are participating in the Skype Virtual Author and Illustrator Visits program. Hannah can help you find the right author or illustrator for your school and assist you in scheduling a visit.
  4. Order the author's book(s). Students get the most from visits if they are familiar with the author or illustrator’s work prior to the visit. We offer a range of Skype visits to fit your budgetary needs.
