Adventures Around the World series
Explore Africa while traversing Botswana’s lush grasslands and Uganda’s Impenetrable Forest, celebrate the deep-seeded respect for wildlife in India, Mongolia, and on an island off the coast of Iceland, and journey to Australia to explore animals found nowhere else on Earth. The Adventures Around the World series from LEE & LOW BOOKS provides exciting explorations into distinctive cultures in diverse geographic environments and climates.
In this series of six award-winning books, Caldecott Honor winners Ted and Betsy Lewin combine their distinctive artistic styles with captivating text to relate their travel adventures. Readers will delight in these inside views and personal accounts of little-known lifestyles and landscapes.
Each book describes the unique animals the Lewins encounter and their immersion into the local culture and is accompanied by maps, additional environmental and cultural facts, glossary and pronunciation guides, realistic watercolors, and colorful field sketches.
