Tabatha Jean D’Agata

Tabatha Jean D'Agata was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts. When she was a child, she loved being read to by her grandma. As an adult, Tabatha enjoys writing stories for children and publishing her blog, Bewitched Mama. Her family has two pets—a cat and a dog—but no parrot. Tabatha lives in Hooksett, New Hampshire, with her husband and their son and daughter.

Geraldo Valerio

Geraldo Valério was born in Brazil. He moved to the United States to attend New York University where he received his MFA, and he currently works as a full time illustrator. As a child, Geraldo had pet parrots. Remembering the way they acted helped him illustrate this story. Geraldo also enjoys visiting the library, walking in the park, and going to the movies. He lives in Portland, Oregon.
