About the Creators

was born in New York City, where she now works as a reading teacher in an elementary school. This is her first book for beginning readers, and it is based on her memories of how hard it was to put her two sons to bed when they were young. Barbara lives in Jamaica, New York, with an aquarium full of fish.

received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and she has studied at the Art Students League, also in New York City. Freeman is a full-time illustrator who has illustrated several books for educational publishers, including LEE & LOW's Bebop Books imprint.
