Caroline Hatton was born in France after her parents moved there from their native Vietnam. She grew up in Paris, then attended graduate school at UCLA. Caroline’s books are inspired by memorable experiences, such as what her Papa always said about moon cakes or a friend’s tale about a childhood pet. In addition to creating mixed-media images for children’s books and magazines, she enjoys painting children’s portraits, cooking with her husband, and decorating the walls at home with art created by her son and daughter.
