About the Creators

Caroline Hatton

Caroline Hatton was born in France after her parents moved there from their native Vietnam. She grew up in Paris, then attended graduate school at UCLA. Caroline’s books are inspired by memorable experiences, such as what her Papa always said about moon cakes or a friend’s tale about a childhood pet. Hideko Takahashi

Hideko Takahashi was born in Osaka, Japan. She earned her BFA at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles and is now a full-time artist. Hideko has illustrated several books for children.
