Amazing Places

Review
By Creative Kids

With eidetic, echt poetry, Lee Bennett Hopkins allows readers to travel without moving an inch in his book, Amazing Places. Opening with a mother and her beloved daughter, toasting marshmallows at a campsite in Denali National Park, this book zips across the country, showing the wonders that the United States has to offer. Perhaps the most enthralling aspect of this novel was the commixing of poetry, landscapes, and culture. Last, but not least, the vibrant illustrations by Chris Soentipet and Christy Hale add an unparalleled sparkle of their own. Readers will be itching to jump into the pages of Amazing Places while being inspired to travel the nation of stars and stripes from sea to shining sea.
