Educators_parentsandcaregivers

Lee & Low Books is committed to supporting educators and families in their virtual, distance, and/or home learning as we navigate the COVID-19 crisis and its long-term impact on education. Whether you are a teacher, a homeschooling parent, or a librarian, you'll find resources on this page to support your work as well as answers to our most commonly asked questions regarding distance learning.

Home Library Questionnaire

Are you looking to build a diverse home library for your family? Adapted from our incredibly popular Classroom Library Questionnaire, our new Home Library Questionnaire is a helpful guide that encourages parents and caregives to broaden the types of books you read at home and to choose diverse books wisely. Use it, download it, and share it!

Virtual Read Aloud Guidelines

During this critical time, Lee & Low is granting special permission to allow educators to do a virtual recording or videotaping of our titles for non-commercial purposes. To read our full guidelines and submit your Virtual Read Aloud event, click here.

Author Read Alouds

We are building a growing library of author read alouds of Lee & Low Books! A few highlights:

• Sparkle Boy, read by Lesléa Newman

• Benji, the Bad Day, and Me, read by Sally J. Pla

Visit our YouTube Read Aloud Playlist to see them all, and subscribe for updates as we add more.

Recursos en español / Spanish Resources

As COVID-19 magnifies existing inequalities in our education system, we are particularly committed to serving the needs of Spanish-speaking students and families. On our new Spanish Resources page, find Spanish and bilingual resources to support learning in both the classroom and the home, including high-quality Spanish Read Alouds and downloadable Spanish activity guides
