It doesn’t matter to Eloise that her elderly friend, Joe, is blind: She still tells him about all the colors she loves. Eloise loves colors – mixing them, painting with them. Joe insists that he loves colors too; he even tells her about yellow, the color of butter, and red, all hot and spicy. Then he tells her that blue is his favorite color of all. Eloise doesn’t understand until Joe gets a big package which he assures her will explain his special love of colors.
