What is ESSER?
Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief I, II, and III Funds are available to schools through state and local education agencies to address learning loss from the pandemic. Totalling $190 billion nationwide, this funding is made available through the American Rescue Plan Act. At least 20% of ESSER III funds must be used to address learning loss and students' academic, social, and emotional needs brought by the pandemic. Special attention is paid to funding the needs of students in foster care, racial and ethnic minorities, English learners, and students with disabilities.
How Your School and District Can Use ESSER Funds
Lee & Low Books is proud to be one of the only Minority-owned Business Enterprise (MBE) certified publishers of multicultural children’s books. We are honored to have ESSER-eligible schools and districts partner with us to ensure even more access to authentic, culturally responsive, contemporary books at the levels students need. When schools across the country use ESSER funds with us, they trust that we're delivering equity, inclusion, and diversity to their classroom libraries.
How Bebop Books Aligns with ESSER Funds
