Game, Set, Match, Champion Arthur Ashe

Review
By The Prissy Mommy

More than anything my husband and I want to raise our sons to know that the sky is the limit, with regards to any dreams, goals, or aspirations they may have. Everything that we do with them is an attempt to heighten their confidence and self-esteem. We especially love children’s books that encourage and inspire, as this further promotes our goal. So I was really pleased to be invited to review a new children’s book just released by Lee & Low Books. Game, Set, Match, Champion Arthur Ashe by Crystal Hubbard is the first picture book biography of Arthur Ashe - a man who excelled on and off the tennis court. We are so excited for our boys to learn about about this fine humanitarian, educator and athlete who is not only talented and courageous, but also brown like them. . . . This is a fast-paced, exciting read that pulls you in and makes you feel as though you’re a part of the plot. During the story, we rejoiced when Ashe triumphed, and felt sorrowful when he was sad. . . . This book is a must have for the library of any sports lover, as well as any child whom you’d like to inspire and encourage! We are proud to have it in our collection. —The Prissy Mommy
