Howard Thurman's Great Hope
Review
By Southwest Ohio Libraries
[A] well-written story that uses lots of imagery and description to emphasize Thurman’s desire for education. Strives to describe the financial and racial barriers present for African Americans at the time. Places a strong emphasis on the need for goals, hard work, and help from others to achieve one’s dream. Good afterward that further educates the reader on Thurman’s accomplishments.
