My Teacher Can Teach…Anyone!

Review
By School Library Journal

An enthusiastic boy explains that his teacher ‘. . .is so good,/she can teach. . . anyone!’ He proceeds to make his way through a rhyming, alphabetical list of occupations, beginning with ‘She could teach an Astronaut/how to float in space./She could teach a Ballet dancer/how to land with grace.’ Each page is devoted to a letter and illustrated with a bright, cheerful picture of the youngster and his classmates acting out the designated job. The boy imagines her instructing an assortment of potential students including a dentist, a governor, a janitor, an opera singer, and even a zillionaire. The story ends on a heartwarming note, when he states that he is happy ‘. . .because this year . . . she is teaching ME!’… the message is sure to be appreciated by educators, and the illustrations charmingly portray the special relationship between the teacher and her students.
