Felicia Hoshino’s delicate watercolor-and-ink illustrations complement the delicate beauty of Cambodian dance. The book’s notes recount the author’s research into the identity of the real Cambodian who inspired Rodin and include definitions of some dance positions. This is a delightful book for young girls interested in dance and is a story as much about perseverance as traditional Cambodian dance.
